Family based care, protection and security for your child

Although parents are not legally obliged to have a guardian based in the same country of residence as the student, it is recommended to do so. AEGIS – The Association for the Education and Guardianship for International Students in the UK also recommends to do so and says that the majority of independent schools make it a condition of admission to their school that any overseas student must have a UK based Educational Guardian.

The guardian is the link between the school, the student and the parents and takes upon himself many responsibilities of a parent while the student is studying abroad. However we believe that the role of a guardian needs to go beyond solving everyday problems, such as organising transfers, trips to doctors, buying school uniforms or selecting a host family for whole school holidays or long weekends.

Our academic guardians are specialists in the field of education; first and foremost they concentrate on the wellbeing of the student and his academic progress while studying abroad. The academic guardian can assess the student’s potential, highlight his talents and needs and thus can become an irreplaceable advisor to the parents, the school and the student himself.
